More about the tournament
This year marks the second time that CPS will manage and coordinate this tournament. After a very successful tenure, Kiwanis is stepping back and handing over the reigns to CPS once again.
Thank you Kiwanis for the great succes of this beloved tournament.
Every year more than 600 youth and their families attend this annual event.
The Diversity Cup has run for the past 23 years and reaches out to youth that do not ordinarily have an opportunity to play organized sports. The demand for the event has continued to grow, with coaches indicating a desire to register for the event next year as they leave the fields! The Youth Diversity Cup takes place on the second weekend of June each year, running from 9AM-5PM at the Forest Lawn fields.
Registered teams will each receive balls, shin guards, t-shirts, medals, snacks and water for their participants. Additionally, games are played on fields with proper nets, line markings, corner flags, and referees so these players can have the full experience. These supplies are donated by CPYF, KidSport, CMSA, and other generous supporters. The hope is that this will encourage the youth to continue their participation in team sports, while learning the valuable lessons that come from those experiences.
